Are you training with a purpose that translates to actual play, taking quality “reps”, learning new skill sets in a competitive environment? If not, then the Boys Offensive & Defensive Group Lacrosse Training will focus on what you need to improve your overall game.

Each 1.5-hour training session, participants will run through a series of group and position specific skill work that will lead into competitive play and utilize the new skills you learned in a controlled environment.

Positions Areas of focus

Attack & Midfield– shooting, dodging, footwork, vision, playing with and without the ball, understanding spacing, being efficient with the ball, and much more.

LSM & Defense- Footwork, approaches, angles, sliding, recovering, defending picks, communication, on ball and off ball play, stick work, shooting, stick protection, and much more.

All sessions are run by Todd MacFarlane, Scottish National Team Assistant Coach, former Redwoods LC Assistant Coach in the Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) and University of Pennsylvania and Maryland staff member.

For more than 25 years Coach MacFarlane has worked with All-Conference, All- American, All-Pro and All-World players and knows what it takes to get you to the next level.

Participants have the option to register for all 14 sessions or pay a daily drop-in fee that pertains to your grad year grouping.

Please understand that each grad year grouping has extremely limited space available. No daily drop-ins will be accepted once grad year groups sell out.

If you choose to pay for all 14 sessions based on your grad year group, please understand that this option is unable to be prorated for missed training sessions. However, credit towards other Performance Academy Training Programs at Steelyard Sports will be honored.

2023 Elite Summer Boys Offensive &
Defensive Positional Camp

Did the 2023 spring season go as planned? Didn’t win a championship or get enough playing time? If not, get ready to learn from professional coaches who understand what it takes to improve your game.

The Elite Summer Boys Offensive & Defensive Positional Camp will be run by Todd MacFarlane and Chris Collins. Both Coach MacFarlane and Collins have worked with All-Conference, All- American, All-Pro and All-World players for more than 20 years and are ready to train you.

Each day you will be placed through up tempo position specific drills, skills and situational play that will improve your overall game.

Positions Areas of focus

Goalie– clearing, outlook patterns, footwork, passing, eye hand coordination, playing the inside shot and outside shots, angles, and much more.

Attack & Midfield– shooting, dodging, footwork, vision, playing with and without the ball, understand spacing, being efficient with the ball, and much more

LSM & Defense- Footwork, approaches, angles, defending picks, communication, on ball and off ball play, stick work, shooting, stick protection, and much more.

2023 Summer Girls and Women’s
Summer Lacrosse Training Series

Monday’s- July 10, 17, 24, 31 and August 7th

4:15-5:30pm (2028,2029, 2030)
Players who are a 2028, 2029 or 2030 graduation year

5:30-6:45pm (2025, 2026,2027 + 28 invite only)
Players who are a 2025, 2026 or 2027 graduation year
Players who are a 2028 graduation year that can compete at a high level with older graduation years athletically, physically and has the skill set to compete in a competitive environment.

6:45-8:00pm (College + Top 1% HS varsity invite only)
Varsity Starter with playing accolades such as All- League, All – Conference, All-American, etc.
2023 Graduate who has committed to play in college in 2024.

If not, then the 360 Lacrosse & Performance Academy Summer Lacrosse Training Series will focus on what you need to improve your overall game.

Each training session, participants will run through a series of group and position specific skill work that will lead into competitive play and utilize the new skills you learned in a controlled environment.

All sessions are run by Todd MacFarlane (Episcopal Academy, Scotland National Team, Redwoods LC, University of Pennsylvania & Maryland) & Siena Childs (West Chester University, Episcopal Academy & Harlem Lacrosse)

Positions Areas of focus

Offense– Shooting, dodging, footwork, vision, playing with and without the ball, understanding spacing, being efficient, and much more.
