“My son is 20 years old and a college sophomore playing lacrosse for Dickinson College. My son began playing lacrosse when he was 7 years old and as soon as he was old enough to join a travel team (which was in 5th grade) we did so. When he was in 6th grade, we changed teams and had the very good fortune of being connected with Coach Todd MacFarlane. That summer with Coach Todd, to this day, is still a pivotal time in my son's coaching life as well as our family's life. Coach Todd came at a time when my son's confidence had been destroyed by the previous coach of that team. Coach Todd saw something in my son and was able to resurrect his confidence along with helping my son build his lacrosse skills and IQ”. Although that was the 1st and only time my son was directly coached by Coach Todd, our family stayed in contact with him throughout the years. He would later serve as a support and resource during my sons recruiting time in high school and ultimately served as a model for the type of coach, we wanted for our son at the college level. To this day he remains in contact with my son and with our family. I will forever say how he is one of the top 2 coaches that my son has ever had in the over 17 years my son has been playing sports. Whether it's to build your lacrosse skill level, need direction during the recruiting process or simply to have his influence on how to not only be a great lacrosse player but more importantly a good man, Coach Todd is beyond words.
